Lettersforms · Project Description
This project tests students’ ability to create a unified composition using three different letters based on their initials. Through intelligent play, the student gains valuable insights into the essential nature of letterforms: their structural similarities, formal idiosyncrasies, tolerance for manipulation and potential for visual expression.
Students use size variation, cropping, rotation and juxtaposition to find compelling typographic synergies; they can also substitute a number for a letter.
